The ILC Story
In the summer of 2009, Appleton Career Academy and James Lewicki came together for 8 days to redesign the Academy’s pedagogy. The result was an original school curriculum design they coined the interdisciplinary learning collaborative. Now in 2015, various high schools are implementing seminars, workshops, and lit. circles – the heart of the ILC design. This collection of ILC seminars, workshops, and lit. circles is over 350 pages and grows each month with new educator contributions. It is simply the most amazing example of generative learning in education today. Hundreds of students and teachers working together each day to shape and re-shape a generative curriculum that is interesting, challenging, and exceeding education standards. Enjoy the collection! -James Lewicki
